Connor Turns 6!

We held Connor's 6th birthday party at our house.  This year, Connor chose a LEGO theme.  I came up with a few different LEGO games: LEGO bingo, pin the head on the LEGO man, and a scavenger hunt with clues that ended at our microwave.   In it, I had hidden a dessert bowl filled with LEGO minifigure kits as party favors.  It was great having lots of Connor's classmates.  There were a few kids there I hadn't met before and it was nice to see all their personalities in person after hearing Connor's stories about them.  :)

Connor and his guests, going clockwise (with last names where I could remember them):  Connor, Jack, Sean Healy, Cian Furler (Connor's cousin), Áine and her brother Ciarán, Harry Dixon, and Gavin.

The two mothers there are Audrey, Harry's Mom, and Ruth, Áine and Ciarán's mom.  Ruth is the first person who reached out to me when I moved here.

After the party, Cian could spend the night, which was a great way for Connor to keep the party going. :)  Here they are play-fencing with the Christmas gifts they both received from Joseph.  (Joseph, at age 60, is the 2nd highest ranked fencer in his fencing salle.  The highest ranked fencer is 27 years old.)

Of course, the two of them had a great time and finally fell asleep that night sometime
around 11 o'clock!

Our 2011 Christmas Photobook

Christmas on Ardlea Rd. brought to you by Penney's (The Irish version of Kmart).   We bought the tree, trimmings, house decorations there.  The Nativity set we brought from home.

Ronan was loving jumping up and down in his Johnny Jump Up.
